Men's Pro Tryout Info / StandStill Baseball Wants YOU
Tryout Fee: $150
The tryout fee gives you a chance to show your skills. The tryout fee does not guarantee you a position on a team. Your submitted DVD, video or personal live tryout will be viewed and critiqued by either a former professional ball player, Mike Boyd - the creator of StandStill Baseball, or a qualified select panel chosen by Mr. Boyd. Those that are deemed to possess the skills and abilities to play StandStill Baseball will be placed in a draft to be selected by a team.

What we are looking for:
Players from 18 to 45 years old
No drug use
Great attitudes toward children, adults and teammates
Courteous, kind, caring ballplayers who want and are looking for a chance to be special to children and their community
Players who care about what people think of them
Players who have close family ties and community ties
Exceptional baseball abilities in pitching, hitting, fielding and running
Criteria for positions:
Pitchers - must throw 70 mph or less. Must have several pitches. Must have exceptional control of all pitches. Must be able to place the pitch where he wants it when it's needed.
Hitters - Must have power, bat control and discipline. Must have a professional temperament and attitude.
Infielders - Exceptional ability to play infield. Must know all the moves and steps of infield on both sides of the field. Must have tremendously quick feet and quick and smooth hands. Must be a really fast runner.
Outfielders - Must be exceptionally fast. Must have exceptional ability to track a fly ball. Must have a very strong and accurate arm. Must have quick reaction time and sure hands.
Catcher - Must be very quick at running and diving and hustling missed foul balls. Must be very good at catching foul tips. Must be very good at calling the right pitch at the right time.

What is StandStill Baseball's intentions?
To give baseball players who have exceptional abilities a chance to play a form of professional baseball.
Reason -
There are so many ballplayers around the country, male and female, that have missed the opportunity to play major league or professional baseball for one reason or another. This is why StandStill Baseball is now here - to say Baseball is for us all and to give so many more a chance to enjoy this great game.
What about the teams?
The idea is to have hundreds of teams around the country in coming seasons. Each team will consist of 12 players, 1 coach, 1 manager and 1 trainer. They will wear StandStill Baseball uniforms. Each team is responsible for and expected to supply their own equipment and uniforms. Each team's uniform will display the league logo as well as their own team logo. Team names, logos and uniforms have to be approved by StandStill Baseball's head office or commissioners. Each team will be able to market their own merchandise but will pay a percentage to the head office.
